Energetic, bold, naturally curious and intuitive, Charlene has   a warm and engaging style while being direct and authentic. 

Charlene has a career spanning 24 years working as a Counsellor, Human Resources professional and Coach.  The foundation of Charlene’s career has been helping others – individuals/teams/organizations – achieve greater success.  Charlene is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF), Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) through the Coaches Training Institute (CTI) an industry leader in the coaching profession.  She is also a certified Emotional Intelligence EQi-2.0 & EQ 360 practitioner.  

Charlene helps her clients gain clarity on their values, passions and goals, and turn that into action; uncover their potential and discover their power within; increase self-awareness and confidence; identify and remove barriers; get unstuck; establish clear decision making processes and be accountable; develop and improve their leadership skills; and get results.  She helps leaders grow.

Born and raised in Northern Alberta, Charlene has called Calgary home for over 20 years with the exception of 3 years living and working in Fort McMurray.  She has a BA (Distinction) from the University of Alberta, HR Business Management Certificate (University of Calgary) and numerous other courses and certifications.  

Motivated and driven, she has completed a full marathon, numerous 1/2 marathons and twice biked from Jasper to Calgary to raise money for children’s charities.   A love of the outdoors and an active lifestyle, theatre, voracious reader, volunteer, and most importantly a wife and mother, she enjoys sharing these passions with family and friends.

She is also an active volunteer in her community having worked with organizations such as the Youth Justice Committee, Adopt A Family, Junior Achievement, John Howard Society, Human Resources Assoications and Minor Hockey Associations to name a few. 

An insatiable appetite for learning, in additon to her love of reading, Charlene is currently attending a Masters program at Royal Roads University (RRU) specializing in Values-Based Leadership.

I am a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) through CTI (Coaches Training Institute) an industry leader in the coaching profession (think Ivy League of coach training).  I am also an active member of the International Coaches Federation (ICF). 

My work experience includes HR Advisory/Consulting, People Manager and Young Offender Case Worker/Counsellor.  I have a Bachelor of Arts (Distinction) from the University of Alberta, a Human Resources Business Management Certificate from the University of Calgary, and numerous other courses spanning 20 years. 

Motivated and driven, I have completed a full marathon, numerous 1/2 marathons, 10ks and 5ks.  I have also biked from Jasper to Calgary – a trek of 410km through rain, snow, wind and sun.

I love the outdoors (biking, running, skiing, hiking), reading, continuous learning, music and most of all spending time with my husband, son, family and friends.

A volunteer past and present, I currently volunteer as a mentor/coach with the Calgary Youth Justice Society.
